RKA values family relationships and is committed to helping family members build relationships that are safe, positive, and mutually enjoyable.
Therapeutic visits are opportunities for children and their parent/family members to build their relationships with the guidance of a therapist. They are often court ordered and follow a disruption in the family relationship that could benefit from support healing.
The therapist will provide support and guidance for the activities and communication in order to ensure safety and promote positive family relationships.
Therapeutic visits involve all parties initially meeting individually to determine who will be participating, if there are any needs that must be addressed before visitations, and if all parties are able to participate productively in the sessions.
The expectations and structure of the therapeutic visits are clarified and explained to all participants prior to starting, and a therapeutic visit agreement is provided and signed by all adult participants.
